It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daniel Lewis announces his passing at the William Osler Civic Health Center, Brampton, Ontario on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the age of 53 years. Daniel was predeceased by his mother Reda Lewis. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife Viola; children: Danielle and Christopher (Hazel Biles); step-children: Tina, Dion, and Jamie; father: Thomas Lewis; brother: David (Frances); sisters: Sylvia, Loretta (Doug), Gloria (Brian), Deborah; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A service was held in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, December 22, 2007. Daniel will be brought home to Newfoundland on Friday, January 4th, 2007. Family and friends will be received at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., St. John’s on Friday, January 4, 2008, from 2-4pm. and 7-9pm. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 12 noon. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made in Daniel’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
