Marjorie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Boyd O'Donnell; two sons, Michael O'Donnell (Patti) of Fredericton Junction and Mitchell O'Donnell (Christine) of New Maryland; two daughters, Michele Horncastle (Kirk) of Fredericton and Maribeth O'Donnell (Tim Potter) of Charters Settlement; four sisters, Esther Bagley (Angus) and Gracie Johnson both of Monteagle, Bessie Colpitts (Eddie) of Petitcodiac and Shirley Roy (David) of Nova Scotia; sister-in-law, Louisa Sutherland of Moncton; five grandchildren, Scott, Andrew, Jeffrey, Julie and Simon; two step-grandchildren, Savanna and Seldon; several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Zillah (Betts) and Claude Sutherland; one sister, Rhona Crane and her husband, Gerald; two brothers, Walter & his wife, Margaret Sutherland and Cecil Sutherland; and five infant siblings. Mom lived a spirited life that touched many areas. Her teaching career began when she was 16 and spanned 38 years across the province of New Brunswick. Not to miss the excitement, she joined the WRENS (Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service) during the second world war. We often heard her joke that when she joined in 1944 it only took a year to end the war. She was a devoted member of the Blissville United Baptist Church and various community organizations including the Historical Society, Hoyt Hospital Aid and Retired Teachers Association. She was known and loved for her quick wit, which remained with her to the very end. She is greatly loved and will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at the Blissville United Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be at the Blissville United Baptist Church on Thursday, January 31st at 2pm with the Reverends Gary Gray, Leo Porter and James Harrison officiating. There will be a graveside service in the spring at the Carrolls Crossing Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may express your sympathy by making a donation to the Blissville United Baptist Church or the Mini Bus Fund at the White Rapids Seniors Home. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, N. B. (368-2413). www.internetobits.com - Condolences sunburyfuneralhome@hotmail.com
