GERALDINE AGNES "BETTY" BRIDGEO

BRIDGEO, GERALDINE AGNES "BETTY" - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Geraldine Agnes "Betty" Bridgeo surrounded by her loving family on February 3rd, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after her courageous battle with cancer. Mom was born in 1932, the daughter of the late Millen and Margaret (Parks) Stevens. Mom is survived by four sons, Bobby Bridgeo (Mary), Arthur Kincade (Heather), Norman Tait (Susan) all of Saint John and Robert Locke (Elizabeth) of Winnipeg; five daughters, Nancy Lackie (Glen), Wanda Jefferson and Helen Bridgeo all of Saint John, Mary Green of St. Andrews and Rev. Janice Walls of Grimshaw, Alberta; two brothers, Millen Stevens of Kingston Peninsula and Martin Stevens of Alberta; two sisters, Donna Craig (George) of Saint John and Nancy Chaisson of Delta, British Columbia; Mom's much beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and Mom's good friend for so many years Audrey Estabrooks. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Kevin Kincade; her nephew, George Edward McLellan; her niece Margaret (Stevens) Corey; and Mom's Companion and Soul Mate of forty-two years, Norman "Pidge" McLeod. Mom loved to cook for her family and friends and she loved to play bingo. We all have fond memories of her Sunday and holiday suppers. We will miss you Mom but will carry you forever in our hearts till we are together again. Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave, (634-1701) there will be no visitation at Mom's request. A memorial service to celebrate Mom's life will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home with interment in the Urn Garden at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery in the spring. Following the memorial service a reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital, IWK Children's Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia or a charity of the donor's choice. www.castlefh.com
