HANSEN, NOEL BOYD - The death of Noel Boyd Hansen, husband of the late Verna Etta (Everett), occurred on February 11, 2008 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Halvor H. and Bella (Pettipas) Hansen. He served with the Canadian Army during WW II, was a member of Local #1386, Carpenter's and Jointer's of America working as a carpenter throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and loved dogs. Surviving are his sons, Victor (Patricia) of Grand Lake, Darryl (Mary) of Wetmore Creek Road, Wayne (Rose Ann) of Saint John West, daughters, Carol Raynes (Floyd) of Saint John West, Helen Hansen (William Stout) of Stewarton, his 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by brothers, Alfred, Arnold, Harry, Norman, Leo, Clarence and Lawrence and sisters, Myrtle and Frances. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 1:00 pm from Brenans Chapel.
