SEWELL, DOROTHY ELIZABETH - The death of Dorothy Sewell of Saint John, NB; wife of the late, Samuel J. Sewell, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Born in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Gladys (Baker) Hinam. Dorothy served as a private with the C.W.A.C. overseas during World War II. Dorothy was an avid bowler and bingo player. Survived by her daughter, Lorraine Lee (Fred White) of Saint John; her grandson, Allan Lee of Saint John; one great-granddaughter, Ashley Lee and her sister, Alice Murray of Mississauga, ON. Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Constable Benedict Lee; sisters, Ruth Roberts, Mae and her brothers, Leonard, Fred, Leslie, Tom, Bill and Hubert. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service on Friday evening at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2008 from Brenan's Chapel at 10:00 am.
