RONALD LENDER DYKEMAN
DYKEMAN, RONALD LENDER - The death of Ronald Lender Dykeman of Minto, NB occurred Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Hardwood Ridge, NB he was the son of the late Albert W. and Nettie E. (McNamara) Dykeman. Ron was a man of great integrity. After the war he was employed with Louis McTiernan before becoming a dragline operator for Wassons and NB Coal retiring in 1981 after 36 years. He was a life member and past Sergeant at Arms of the Royal Canadian Legion, Minto and a faithful member of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jennette (Dunn) Dykeman of Minto, NB; a daughter, Margaret (Joanne) Nicholson and son-in- law (Larry) who was primary caregiver; a sister-in-law, Evaline Prosser of Sussex, NB; a special friend Jo Ann Caissie who was so kind over the last year; special companion snowflake; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Ron was predeceased by a daughter, Constance Marie in 1954; an infant sister, Effie Dykeman; a sister, Alice Alward. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home 327-3490 with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 22nd, 2008 from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Minto, NB with Rev. Philip Pain officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date. For those who wish donations made to the IWK, St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, SPCA or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
