MRS. HELEN T. (BUCKLEY) FENNELL

FENNELL, MRS. HELEN T. (BUCKLEY) - of Lynn, MA, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in North Shore Medical Center Salem Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Bernard J. "Buddy" Fennell. Helen was born and educated in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Edith (McKenna) Buckley. She was a graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. She came to the United States from Canada in 1950 and has resided in Lynn. Helen worked as a Receptionist at Odettes Salon in Peabody for 20 years, and previously worked at Prime Manufacturing. She enjoyed being a House wife and a loving mother to her children. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield. She leaves two sons, State Representative Robert F. Fennell and his wife Odette of Lynn and Chatham Police Sergeant Joseph D. Fennell of Chatham; one daughter, Acting Principal of Sisson Elementary School Inez Accursio and her husband James of Lynn; Four grandchildren, Kathleen and William Fennell of Harwich and Ashley and Tanya Fennell of Lynn, two great-grandchildren Kassidy and Lillian Fennell, and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Theresa Fennell and sister of the late Frank Buckley, Evelyn Donovan, Rita Love and Geraldine McCourt. Funeral was from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, Monday, Feb. 11th followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church, Lynn. The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers and gift baskets please make donations in Helen's memory to a Charity of Your Choice. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
