FOSTER, SARAH JANE "SADIE" (1920 - 2008) - At Saint John, Sarah Jane "Sadie" Foster of Upper Kent passed away at the age of 87. Born in Bath, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lettie (DeMerchant) Oakes and wife of the late Timothy Foster. Sadie is survived by her children, Ann Marks (Clarence) of Saint John, Marie Phelps of Levant, Maine, Leonald (Dolly) of Bairdsville, Gary (Dot) of Moose Mountain; two sisters, Pearl Greenier of Portland, Maine, Helen Foster of Upper Kent; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 5 step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; daughter, Leota Perkins; sister, Ella Greenier; granddaughter, Nola. Visitation will be held at Kilcollins Funeral Home, Bath on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 2 pm from the funeral home chapel; Rev. Joe Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery at a later date.
