MACCARLIE, GEORGE E. - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on Thursday, February, 28th, 2008, George Emery MacCarlie, husband of Bernice E. (Hodgin) MacCarlie of St. Andrews, NB. Born in Campbellton, NB he is the son of the late Frederick McCarlie and the late Elizabeth Delaney. George was employed for many years with Canadian Comstock and the Canadian Foundation Company of Canada. He was a member of St. Andrews United Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife Bernice, are his children Stephen (wife Donna and grandchildren Matthew and Heather) of Little Britain, Ont; Margo DiFrancesco (husband George and grandchildren Alisha, Alex, Andrina, Angela) of Queensville, Ont; brothers, Bill (Odna) of Saint John, NB, Vincent (Eileen) of Digby, NS; sisters, Rae Ladoucer (Maurice) of Ottawa, Joyce Enwright (Tom) of Rothesay, NB, Fredericka(Ricci) Hawkins (David) of Lower Sackville, NS; brother-in-law, Larry Brewer of Fredericton, NB; and nieces, nephews and cousins. George was predeceased by his step mother Edna Delaney; his brother Robert (Bobby); and Anne Brewer (Larry) of Fredericton, NB. By George's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home, however friends are welcomed to attend a service of remembrance at St. Andrews United Baptist Church on Tuesday March 4th at 2:00pm. Reception will follow in the Church hall. In lieu of flowers donations to the NB Lung Association would be appreciated.
