GIGOU, GERARD - Gerard Gigou of the Kennebec Manor passed away on Monday, March 3rd, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Suzanne Elizabeth Gigou. Besides his wife, Gerard was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Roseanne (Robichaud) Gigou; three brothers, Robert, Louis and Clarence; two sisters, Francoise and Agnus. Gerard is survived by his son, Louis A. (Roma) of Westfield; and daughter, Jeannine (Douglas) Howe of Westfield; grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Gigou of Saint John and Jenna Gigou (Robert Galbraith) of Saint John; two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Cameron Gigou. Gerard was a member of the Knights of Columbus, belonged to the Arcenciel Club and was a life member of the Epworth Park Outing Association. Arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. François-de-Sales Church, Boars Head Road on Thursday March 6th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. A Tribute to a Veteran will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. and the Knights of Columbus will meet at the funeral home at 7:30 pm. Interment will be held in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Grand Bay-Westfield in the spring.
