ALBERT MURRAY MINER
MINER, ALBERT MURRAY - It is with great sadness we announce the death of Albert Miner. After a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer, he passed away on Monday March 3rd, 2008. Born on July 11th, 1954 in Wolfville, NS, he is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Swain) Miner; two daughters, Krista Miner of Sussex Corner, NB and Megan (Chris) Thorne of Wards Creek, NB; two brothers, Alex and Leigh both of Saint John, NB; two sisters, Geraldine (Terry) Perrier of Calgary, AB and Bonnie (Clifford) Lavoie of Miramichi, NB; two grandchildren, Tyler and Cody; father in-law, Charles Swain and several aunts, cousins, brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Albert is the son of the late Gerald Miner and Anna (Swim). Albert was predeceased by his mother in-law Ann Swain. Albert was very active in his community, he played hockey for the Woodchucks, coached girls softball and hockey and he was involved in Dairy Town Classic basketball. Albert was employed with the D.O.T. for 23 years and was active in CUPE Local # 1190 for many years. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). Visitations will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. The Memorial service will be held on Friday March 7th, 2008 at 11am from the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel". Interment to Saint Joseph's Cemetery will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Saint John Boys and Girls Club or to the charity of the donor's choice.
