ROEMMELE, DOUGLAS BRUCE - 61, died suddenly of a massive heart attack in Ottawa, Ont. early Friday morning, March 7, 2008. Born in Ontario, he leaves his loving wife, Mary, and daughter, Sarah (Jason Villeneau) and son Erik, devoted son of Fred and June Roemmele, Saint John, NB. sister Lee Ann (Tony Wyrembek, Ansonia, Conn.) Uncle Dr. Ed (Jean) Roemmele, Windsor Ont., loving nieces and nephews and cousins. Doug was employed with the House of Commons, in the Parliament Library in Ottawa, due to retire next month. He had been a volunteer fireman for 20 years in Fitzroy Harbor, the community they lived in, and was active in other community works and sports activities. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral arrangements in charge of Pilon Funeral Home, Arnprior, Ont. followed by a family memorial here in Saint John at a later date.
