KELLY, RITA CECELIA - The death of Rita Cecelia Kelly, wife of the late Allan Kelly, occurred on Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1928 in Passakeag, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Cecelia (Heenan) Doherty. Rita recently celebrated her 80th birthday. She worked for CP Rail for 40 years, she did beautiful needle point and enjoyed camping and trailering and traveling to Florida with her late husband Allan. She is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy Kelly (Mark Cole) of Saint John; sister Linda Donovan (Ron) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Christopher Giddings (Kathie) of Quispamsis and Jennifer Giddings (Dave) of Saint John; great-grandchildren Alexis, Jordan and Gavin Giddings; brothers-in-law Avon Jordan and Carmen Kelly (Laverne) both of Fredericton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brother, Gerald Doherty, sisters, Helena Foster, Theresa Kierstead and Mary Jordan. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday 7 to 9 pm and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Peter's Church, 50 Clarendon Street; on Friday, March 14th, 2008 at 10 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
