BERNICE DUMAS
DUMAS, BERNICE - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, March 7, 2008, Mrs. Bernice Dumas of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 95 years. She was the wife of the late Camille A. Dumas. Born at Grand Falls in 1912, she was a daughter of the late William and Denise (Rivard) Poitras. Mrs. Dumas was organist at the Assumption Parish Church in Grand Falls for 58 years. She is survived by three daughters, Louine Chiasson (late Rodolphe) of Grand Falls, Claudette Tardif (Elmer) of Helendale, California and Sandra Demers (late Leo) of Ottawa, one son, Camille Dumas (Claudette) of Bathurst, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, three sisters, Alfreda St-Amand of Chilliwack, BC, Lillian Guerrette of Aylmer, Quebec and Rita Lauzier of Ottawa, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sons-in-law, Rodolphe Chiasson and Leo Demers, brothers, Nelson, Emile and Alfred Poitras and sister, Alma Arsenault. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Sunday, March 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, March 17th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral will be held Monday, March 17th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls, with interment in the Assumption Cemetery.
