KENNETH LLOYD PEARSON
PEARSON, KENNETH LLOYD - Kenneth Lloyd Pearson of Sussex, New Brunswick, passed away on March 13, 2008 at the age of 79. Ken was born in Pearsonville, New Brunswick on November 22, 1928. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Verna; three daughters, Heather (Jack) O'Neill of Kelowna, B.C., Brenda (Jules Jones) Pearson-Jones of Loretteville, P.Q. and Debra (Stephen) Maltby, of Whitehorse, Y.T.; two sons, Richard (Cathy) Pearson and David (Deb) Pearson, both of Edmonton, Alberta; 13 grandchildren. Ken was also survived by his brother, Ronald (Nadine) Pearson of Sussex, N.B.; his sisters, Thelma (Joe) Whelton of Saint John, and Mabel (Otty) Buchanan of Fredericton; two sisters-in-law, Ethel (Eugene) Pearson and Patricia (Melvin) Pearson and many special nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Murray and Florence Pearson; and his four brothers, Lewis, Eugene, Melvin and Gerald. Ken served 26 years in the RCAF including one year with the UN Peacekeeping Forces in India and Pakistan. Ken was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20, Sussex, N.B., the A.F. & A.M. #14, Stathcona Lodge and a former member of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans Association. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20 will hold a tribute Wednesday evening at 6:45pm. The Zion Lodge # 21 will hold a Masonic tribute Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. A Celebration of Ken's life will be held from Trinity Anglican Church on Thursday March 20th at 11:00 am. There will be a time of fellowship with the family immediately following the service. A Private family internment will take place at Highfield Cemetery in the spring.
