GALLANT, PHILLIP JOSEPH - 81, Grand Bay - Westfield, passed away peacefully on Monday March 17th, 2008, at Centracare, Saint John. Born on May 26th, 1926, in Piusville, P.E.I., he was the son of the late Mary and Joseph Gallant. Phillip was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Canadian Army. He spent the greater part of his life as a woodsman in the Grand Bay - Westfield area. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Phillip was predeceased by brothers, John, Willie, Clarence, Albin and sister, Rosie DesRoche. Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Castle funeral home "Fallsview Chapel" 309 Lancaster Avenue. (634 - 1701)Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel.
