GLENDON E. FLAGG

FLAGG, GLENDON E. - (76) of Castalia Grand Manan Island passed away at his residence Sunday March 23, 2008. Born of the late Ainsley and Elva (Parker) Glendon grew up and with his family spending the summer months at Dark Harbour harvesting dulse, later in life he worked on the weirs, lobster fishing, and hand lining. He was an avid outdoors' man and loved hunting, fishing, and trapping along with country and western music, and enjoying western movies. He is survived by one son, Lance (Allison) Slack of Kitchener, ON; one sister, Mrs. Leola Wormell of North Head; one brother, Mr. Roland (Flora) Flagg of Castalia; two grand children, Ceilidh and Logan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six sisters, Kathleen, Lillian, Iva, Beatrice, Belva, and Mary. Also three brothers, Frederick, Rexford, and Leroy. Visiting hours will take place at Ells Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the North head Baptist Church on Friday March 28th, 2008 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ron Ford officiating.
