RICHARDSON, LLOYD GEORGE - The death of Mr. Lloyd G. "Midge" Richardson, husband of the late Lois E. (Baird) Richardson, occurred peacefully at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing on March 28, 2008. Born in Norton, N.B., he was the son of the late E. Heber "Slim" and Ethel (Sherwood) Richardson. Lloyd was a stevedore and a member of I.L.A. Local 273, retiring in 1985. He was a member of RCL #14 and RCL #69. He spent the last 10 years living at Ridgewood Veteran's Wing. Mr. Richardson is survived by his son, Doug (Gail) Richardson; his daughter, Dian Richardson, his sister Millie Butler, all of Saint John West; grandchildren, Justin and Eli; several nieces and nephews, as well as sisters-in-law, Millie Richardson and Doris Richardson. He was predeceased by brothers, Fred, Albert, and Eddie, and sisters Estell, Gertie, and Edna. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home (634-1701), 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John. The funeral service will be held at "Fallsview Chapel" on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 1 p.m. Visiting on Sunday from 2-4, 7-9 pm. Interment at OVMG at a later date. The RCL will hold a Tribute to a Veteran Service on Sunday at 7 pm. Immediately following the service, a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
