Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Surrounded by his loving family, Ernest Mulcahy at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Patricia (nee Hannaford) of 49 and a half years; son: John (Soon-Jin), Seoul, South Korea; daughters: Maureen (Jim) Hughes, Corner Brook and Brenda, Halifax, NS; three much loved grandsons: Joshua, Christopher and Marcus Hughes; sister: Winifred (Ken) O’Brien, Portland, OR; three sisters-in-law: Beatrice Hannaford, St. John’s, Agnes Madden (Michael, deceased), Maddox Cove, and Theresa Buckley (Ron), St. John’s; brother-in-law: Bill Fagan (Trudy, deceased), St. John’s; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents: Ernest and Margaret Mulcahy; brothers: William (Veronica), Kevin (Dorothy), Francis (Margaret), John, Gerald (Madeline); sisters: Marjorie (William) Dunphy, Josephine (Brian) Murphy and Barbara (George) Puddister. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday from 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 14th at 10:30 A.M. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Parish or to the charity of ones choice.
