MACMULLEN, ELLA MAY (WILKINS) - 1917 - 2008 With sadness the family would like to announce the death of Ella May (Wilkins) MacMullen, wife of the late Donald MacMullen, on April 3rd, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Tay Falls on May 15th, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Adeline (Grandame) Wilkins. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Nancy (Ray) Littlewood of Quispamsis; her son, Bob (Lori) of Fredericton and her three grandsons, Donald and Thomas Littlewood and Brett MacMullen; her sister, Bertha (Boone) White, of Keswick; her brother-in-law, Clarence (Millie) MacMullin of New York; sister-in-law, Wilma Donnelly of Lake George and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Donald; infant son, David; son Eric, and sisters, Annie, Ruby, Edith, Beatrice and Muriel. Ella was a member of St. John's Anglican Church of Nashwaaksis. Ella attended school in Tay Falls followed by Business College in Montreal before joining the Royal Canadian Air Force on Armistice Day, 1942. She proudly served with the RCAF at Rockcliffe Hospital in Ottawa for three years and then returned home to marry Don in 1947 and start her family. She lived in Nashwaaksis until recently, when she moved to Mountainside Lodge. Ella enjoyed gardening, quilting, spending time with her grandsons, and dedicated countless hours researching and recording the genealogy of both the MacMullen and Wilkins families. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, April 6th. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Main Street, Fredericton North, Monday April 7th at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will follow the service.
