BURLEY, DOROTHY MILDRED - The death of Dorothy Mildred Burley of Saint John West, occurred on April 13th, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on February 28th, 1917. She was the daughter of the late William and Florence Mary (Morris) Burley. Dorothy worked for T.S. Simms for over 30 years. She loved bingo, shopping, playing cards and visiting with friends and family. Dorothy was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great - grandmother and friend. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Donna (Larry) Patterson, BaiVert, N.B; Sisters, Lorraine Comeau and Elsie Dwyer, both of Saint John West; grandchildren, Kenneth Abbott, Ontario, Dennis Patterson, Ontario, Lori Patterson, Port Elgin; great - grandchildren, Brandon and Dylan Abbott, Richard and Matthew Patterson and Michael and Scott Patterson; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy is predeceased by, daughter, Barbara Ann Burley; brothers, Allison, Jimmy, Gordon, Murray, Vincent and Frank; sisters, Margaret Blagden and Ruth Bawn. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home (634-1701), 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Tuesday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16th, from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension.
