SHERRARD, HOLLIS KINGSLEY - The death of Hollis Kingsley Sherrard, loving husband for 62 years of Earlien (Matthews) Sherrard occurred on April 13, 2008 at the Victoria Glen Manor, Perth-Andover, NB. Born on November 18, 1925 in Boom Road, NB, Hollie was the son of the late David and Eva (Allison) Sherrard. Besides his wife Earlien, he is survived by sons, Hollis (Hal) Sherrard (Esther) of Perth-Andover and Michael Sherrard (Rachelle) of Calgary, AB; daughter, Debbie Sherrard of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren, Jared, Wesley, Nicole and Tara; sister, Loreen Kingston (William) of Wayerton; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his daughter, Wendy, he was predeceased by brothers, Jack, Glenn, Everett, Elmer, Emery, Guy, Allen; and sisters, Muriel (Edwards) and Ethel (Copp). Hollie worked as a Personnel Supervisor for NBTel for 37 years, retiring in 1982. He was a long-standing and valued member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, active in the Gideons and a dedicated volunteer with Lifeline Services following his retirement. Hollie will be remembered for his enthusiastic appetite for life (and desserts), his well-dressed, gentlemanly style, his love for a good game of golf with dear friends, and his delight in driving fine cars. Visitations will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 36 Mountain Road on Tuesday April 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
