JOSEPH WILLARD "JOHN" McCORMICK

McCORMICK, JOSEPH WILLARD "JOHN" - The death of Joseph W. McCormick of Burton, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Monday, April 21st, 2008. Born in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (MacDonald) McCormick and husband of Theresa (Melanson) McCormick. John was a veteran of WW II having been involved with the Artillery and Infantry Units. He was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93, the Black Watch Association as well as the Artillery Association. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa M. McCormick; her children, Paul LeBlanc of Burton, NB, Anne Snell (" Beekie") of Waasis, NB, Jennie Côté (Roly) of Ottawa, Dwight LeBlanc (Mavis) of Calgary, AB and Bruce LeBlanc (Jo- Ellen) of Ripon, CA; his children, Gail, Gwen and John McCormick; his three grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren one sister, Alva Puma (Don) of Ilion, NY; as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Ralph and Arthur and his sisters, Vera and Reta. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24th, 2008 from 11:00 to 2:00 pm. Followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ken Weir officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 will hold a tribute service following the funeral. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery.
