GROOM, KATHERINE P. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 24th, 2008; Katherine "Polley" (Cook) Groom of St. Andrews, NB. Born in St. Stephen, NB. Katherine was a member of the Bocabec United Church and served on the UCW for many years. She is survived by her son Gary Groom (Alice) of St. Andrews, NB; two sisters Helen Anderson of St. Stephen, NB, Irene Delmonico (Peter) of Calais, Maine; grandchildren Bill, David, Michael and Kevin; great grandchildren Bianca, Zachary, Nicholas, Justin, Kahli, Dylan, and Abigail; several nieces and nephews. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Warren; her parents Sam & Jean (Polley) Cook; sister Ethel (Little) Crompton; brother John Little. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB (506 - 466 - 3110) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Reception to immediately follow in the Humphreys' reception center. The interment will take place in the Bocabec Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and then on Saturday from 12:30 pm until service time.
