RASMUSSEN, LEONARD - At the Tobique Valley Hospital, Plaster Rock, April 23, 2008, Mr. Leonard Rasmussen, 95, of Tobique Valley Manor and formerly of New Denmark passed away. He was the husband of the late Eunice Jensen. Born at New Denmark in 1912, he was a son of the late Hans O. and Christine (Christensen) Rasmussen. He is survived by two sons, Ralph (Eileen) of Petitcodiac and Howard of New Denmark; four daughters, Joyce Wright (late Allen) of Dalhousie Junction, Marilyn Andersen of Moncton, Darlene Goodine (Gerald) of Sisson Ridge and Lorna MacDonald (Ben) of New Maryland; six grandsons; nine granddaughters; 19 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Susan Lynn Rasmussen; one brother, Raynald and one sister, Madeline. Resting at Bethany Lutheran Church, New Denmark with visiting hours Saturday, April 26th from 1 to 3 p.m., at which time his funeral service will be held with Pastor David Knudson officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to Bethany Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
