WALKER, JAMES ARNOLD - The death of James 'Jim' Walker, husband of Kathy (Compton) Walker, occurred on April 27, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the Claudia (Hope) Walker and the late Arnold Walker. He graduated from NBCC in 1985 from the Electronics Program. He was employed with Saint John Ship Building Limited and more recently with Midland Transportation. Jim really enjoyed woodworking and wine making and his time spent 4 wheeling and snowmobiling. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his grandmother, Helen Hope, brother, Kevin Walker, mother-in-law, Rhonda Saunders of Griquet, NF, sisters-in-law, Vickie Biles (Shawn) of St. Anthony's, NF, Patti Mefford (Larry) of cornwall, ON, niece, Shawna, nephew, William, godchid Devon, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Arthur Hope. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
