Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her family and friends at the family home in Highlands, Geraldine Mary Pumphrey (nee: Halbot) on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Mary (Thomas) Beresford, Highlands; Geraldine (Ken) Hulan, Milton, ON; Joan (Loyola) Gallant, South Branch; Cecelia (David) Hollett, Timberly, NS; Rita (Lloyd) Moore, Etobicoke, ON; sons: Gerry (Lorraine), Highlands; Michael (Madeline), Etobicoke, ON; Brian (Rhoda), Highlands; Edward (Heather) Coboconk, ON; Philip (Norma), Georgetown, ON; John (Terri), Highlands; brothers: Michael (Annie) Halbot, St. Fintan's, NL; Raymond Halbot, Edmonton, AB; sisters: Regina (Vernon) Eyde; Mary (Rod) Hilker, Cambridge, ON; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, four brothers, and two sisters. The family will be receiving friends at St. Columcille Roman Catholic Church, St. Fintan’s on Sunday beginning at 3:00 pm from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at the Pumphrey Family Cemetery at Highlands River. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Wester Memorial Hospital Foundation.
