HOOPER (CHOUINARD), ANITA (NINI) PATRICIA - Passed away unexpectedly at her home in Willow Grove, NB, on Thursday, May 01, 2008 at age 61. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Helen (Dwyer) Chouinard. Anita will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 39 years, William (Bill) Hooper; her daughter, Krista (Michael) Hartery of Grand Bay-Westfield; son, Brent of Saint John. and grandsons, Keegan, Noah and Declan Hartery. Anita is survived by two brothers, Vernon (Patricia) Chouinard, Peter (Terri) Chouinard and her sister, Mary Martha (Thomas) Butler, all of Saint John. She will also be missed by nieces; Lisa Chouinard, Sarah Chouinard, Jill Butler of Saint John, Katie Butler, of Fredericton and nephews, Craig (Carmel) Chouinard of Fredericton and Jonathan Chouinard of Chance Harbour, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Anita is pre-deceased by her father, Amédée Chouinard and her infant brother, Joseph William at birth. She was a graduate of Simonds High School and in her earlier years, Nini worked for the Canadian Red Cross traveling across the Province. She also enjoyed her employment at Calp's for many years. She was a fun-loving friend to many including life-long friend, Judianne Luck. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her young grandsons. Nini loved visiting with her cousins in Balmoral, NB and spent many happy times there. Nini grew up in Loch Lomond and enjoyed swimming and time at Treadwell Lake with family and friends. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, with visitations on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. William's Cemetery in St. Martins N.B.
