BEECH, MADELINE VIRGINIA- The death of Madeline "Betty" Virginia Beech of Upperton, NB widow of Elliot Beech, occurred May 5, 2008 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. She was born in Hillsdale, daughter of the late Weeden and Mamie (Gray) Taber. Betty was a member of St. Peter's Church, Upham. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cheering on her Montreal Canadians. She is survived by two daughters, Mary McKinnon (George), Upperton, Janie Johnston (Humphrey), Hillsdale; two sons, John Beech (Marilyn), Upperton, Bill Beech, Upperton; one sister, Pauline McLong, Sussex Corner; six grandchildren, Roger, Holly, Tammy, Stephen, Charlene and Christopher; seven great grandchildren; niece, Clara and nephew, David. She was predeceased by daughter-in-law, Linda. Cremation will be followed by visitation at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, 2-4pm & 7-9pm Thursday. The funeral will be held Friday, 10:30 am at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upham, with Rev. Leo Martin officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
