DELMER H. EMBELTON
EMBELTON, DELMER H. - At the Aroostook Medical Centre, Presque Isle, ME, May 9, 2008, Mr. Delmer H. Embelton of Presque Isle passed away at the age of 70 years. He was the husband of Marie (McCarthy) Embelton. Born at California Settlement, NB, in 1938, he was a son of the late Grafton LeRoy and Kathleen (McCarthy) Embelton. Delmer was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus with 20 years service. He was a retired Presque Isle Police Officer. After retirement, he worked as an S.A.D. 1 School Bus Driver, a Deputy Sheriff and a School Crossing Guard. He was a 40-year member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He loved family, friends, golfing, Red Sox, woodworking, puttering around the house, putting on meals and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, four children, Michael (Mary) of Middleboro, MA, Hubert (Cindy) of Hermon, ME, Todd (Rhonda) of Squapan Lake, ME and Della Grass (Troy) of Mars Hill, ME; fifteen grandchildren, Teonna, Shane, Jared, Kyle, Devin, Kara, Carter, Rebecca, Delaney, Matthew, Kristen, Mackayla, Jordyn, Chandler and Melisa; three great grand children, Hayden, Jacob and Abbie; two sisters, Norma Langer and Maxine Theriault of Ocala, FL, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Lana; three brothers, Norris, William and Leigh. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday, May 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (AST). His funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14th at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls (Portage) with Father Gilbert Daddatto officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
