COLWELL, MARY ELIZABETH - At Oromocto Public Hospital on May 13, 2008, Mary E. Colwell, 84, wife of the late Merville Colwell. The youngest daughter of Sarah and William T. Crosbie, she grew up in Powassan, Ontario, served in the Canadian Navy in World War II, and spent her working life as an employee of the Bank of Nova Scotia in British Columbia. After 1979 she made her retirement home in Jemseg, and most recently was a resident of the Gagetown Special Care Home. Mary was an enthusiastic RV traveller all over North America, and a keen rock hound. Predeceased by her husband, parents, and her siblings, Mabel, Margaret and Edward, and is survived by her namesake niece Mary, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. At her request, there will be no funeral. A private interment in the family plot at the Jemseg Community Cemetery will take place at a later date.
