It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hugh Bruce announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the age of 87 years. He will be sadly missed by one son, Hughie (Lynn) Bruce of Calgary; four daughters: Peggy, Deanna, Barbara Ann and Rebecca, all of Calgary; one brother, Sandy Bruce of USA; four sisters: Tina of Stephenville, Bernice of Pasadena, Stella of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Rosetta of Montreal; 12 grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois Bruce and brothers: Leo, Walter, Neil and Toby. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. According to Hughie’s wishes, cremation will take place. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville. Internment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
