COMEAU, DONNA EVELYN - Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on May 21, 2008, Mrs. Donna Evelyn (Holmes) Comeau, wife of Mr. Everett Joseph Comeau of Pennfield NB. Born at Blissfield NB on February 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wilson A. and Elma M. (Storey) Holmes. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her husband, Everett; two daughters, Cindy Comeau and Lisa Asebedo (Renito) both of Pennfield; one son, Wayne (Chrissy) Comeau of Edmonton, AB; five grandchildren, Gary (Kelly), Miah, Kyle, Kelly and Jeff; one great grandchild, Brett Munn; one brother, Gary (Linda) Holmes of Sardis BC; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Judy Lynn; and one brother, Norman Holmes. Donna was a very loving person and an avid Bingo player, who enjoyed country music, shopping and soap operas. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Connors Bros. for 35 years. She was a former member of the Eastern Charlotte Lions Club in Pennfield and the Blacks Harbour Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Recently she became a member of the Fundy Tide Seniors Club. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB, with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church at Blacks Harbour, NB, on Monday at 12:00 noon, followed by interment at the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Donna's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, The NB Heart & Stroke Society or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
