WEDGE, ADRIAN "JR." - After a courageous battle with cancer, JR. passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 12, 2008 surrounded by family. Born 1936 in Saint John to the late Adrian and Blanche Wedge. JR. was an avid sportsman especially known for his accomplishments in Snooker and 9 Ball. He was inducted into the Saint John Sports Hall of Fame, June 5, 2002, a first for his sport. Into his later years he enjoyed playing "Texas Holdem" with friends around town and always treasured his time at home with those closest to him. JR. is survived by daughters, Janie Stewart (Meryl) and Penny Buck (Darrell) both of Quispamsis; son, Peter Wedge (Karen) of Saint John; sister, Maureen Young (Vince) of Ontario; grandchildren, Taylor, Sean, Mark, Pete, Matthew and Jennifer. Besides his parents JR. was predeceased by his wife, Gloria "Pappy" and brother Clarence "Sonny". A memorial service and reception will be held at the Saint John Boys and Girls Club, 1 Paul Harris off of Crown St., Saint John, on Saturday, June 21st, 2008 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at the memorial service for the Children's Wish Foundation. Services are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424).
