FARQUHARSON, ELIZABETH "BETTY" CHRISTINE - The death of Elizabeth "Betty" Christine Farquharson of Lepreau, NB, wife of the late Donald Farquharson, occurred on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Stephen, NB a daughter of the late Arthur and Mattie (Irving) Hughes. Betty had been formerly employed as a secretary with NB Tel and then was a stay-at-home mom caring for her family, she enjoyed knitting, cooking for her family and spoiling her grandchildren; sustained by a strong faith she was a member of Pocologan United Baptist Church. Survived by her two sons, Ron (Darlene) and John (Judy), both of Saint John; a brother, Vernon (Clea) Hughes of Saint John; two sisters, Mildred Harvie of Lepreau and Edwina (Harry) Fraser of Woodstock, ON; two grandchildren, Paul and Arynne; a special friend, Ian Justason; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and husband; a son, Paul and a brother, Arthur Jr. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (506) 634-7425 with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Bay View Chapel on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 11 am. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
