MCCONNELL, ELLA - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, June 17, 2008, Mrs. Ella I. McConnell of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 70 years. She was the wife of the late Malcolm J. McConnell. Born at Perth-Andover in 1938, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Etta (Adams) Rattray. She is survived by her four sons, Aaron (Sylvie) of Fredericton, Ryan (Cindy) and Kent (Martine Levesque) of Grand Falls and John (Sherry) of Perth-Andover, her daughter, Debbie (Alex Simpson) of Quispamsis, grandchildren, Tyler and Jade McConnell, Garret Simpson, Connor and Sean McConnell, Emily Rattray, several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sisters Iona (Fred) Kenney of Woodstock, Zella (Manzer) Boyd of Charlottetown, Muriel (Milton) Parrish of Connecticut and by brother, Donald (Rita) Rattray of New Maryland. She was predeceased by her husband Malcolm, brothers, Clayton Rattray, Earl Rattray, Basil Rattray, William Rattray, Sterling Rattray and by sisters, Hazel Rattray in 1947 and Louise Johndro. Her funeral service will be held Friday, June 20th at 4 p.m. from O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls, with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Grand Falls Portage.
