HATT, CONSTANCE LAURA (MCASKILL) - After a brief illness, "Connie" passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Ottawa, Ontario. Connie was born in Riley Brook, New Brunswick, on May 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Wilda and Clyde McAskill. She was also preceded in death by her son, Chris. Connie is survived by her daughter, JoAnne (Cameron) Creighton and granddaughter, Taylor, of Ottawa, Ontario; sisters Shirley McAskill of Houston, Texas, Sheryl (Ivan) McAskill of Riley Brook, and Carole (Dale) Linton of Grassie, Ontario; brothers, Howard of London, Ontario; Stuart (Holly) of Ancaster, Ontario and Wendell (Jean) of El Campo, Texas. Aunt Con will also be missed by her nephews and nieces and their families. Following cremation in Ottawa, a celebration of Connie' s life will be held at the Riley Brook United Church on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
