HIGGINS, GRACE M. - The death of Mrs. Grace M. Higgins, 91, loving wife of George A. Higgins, occurred peacefully on June 24, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1916 in Rexton, NB she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Clark) Robichaud. Grace was a member of the Fireside Club, Park Avenue United Church, Glosecap Campers and CNR Engineering Club. She will be sadly missed but always remembered. Besides her loving husband, George of 66 years; she is survived by her son, Robert Higgins (Judy) of Wells, NB; daughters, Mary Farrer (Robert) of Saint John and Georgina Weir (the late Hazen Weir) of Midland; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Alice Roberts of River John, NS; sister-in-law, Margaret Robichaud; brother-in-law, Russell Higgins (Olga) of Saint John; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters and an infant great grandchild. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
