BRADFORD, VICTOR E.L. - It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Mr. Victor E.L. Bradford, husband of Mrs. Caroline (Coleman) Bradford of Deer Island NB, after a lengthy battle with cancer on June 24, 2008 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on March 31, 1933, he was a son of the late Victor H. and Beatrice (Guptill) Bradford. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind three sons, Victor of St. George NB, Roy (Mary) and Larry (Sandra) both of Deer Island; grandchildren, Amy (Tim) of Saint John NB, Erica (Matt) of St. George, Brock (Beth) of Beaver Harbour NB, Aaron (Ashley) of Deer Island, Tara and Darren of Saint John; one great-grandchild, Jaiden; two brothers, Eugene (Barb) of Fredericton NB and Brock (Ainslie) of St. Andrews NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Gailand Bradford. Prior to his retirement, Vic managed both H.W. Welch factories for Connors Bros. at Deer Island and at Campobello. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed the outdoor life, especially being on the water in his boat fishing lobster and scallops as his retirement hobby. He loved spending time with his family and friends. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at Fairhaven Community Cemetery, at Calder's Head, Deer Island, on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
