ADAMS, VIOLA MARY - The death of Viola Mary Adams, loving wife of Harry W. Adams, occurred on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 10, 1928 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Aurelie (Vautour) Richard. Besides her loving husband of 58 years, she is survived by her three sons, Donald (Lynn), Gerald, Peter (Heather Pratt); and two daughters, Mary (Mario Ermers) and Susan (Danny Thompson); and nine grandchildren, Tony and Mark Adams, John and Justin Adams, Ethan and Lauren Adams, Ryan Ermers, Sarah and Adam Thompson. She is also survived by three brothers, Vincent Richard, Emery (Rita) Richard, Ivan Richard; and one sister, Brigette (Stephen) Peters. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Paul and daughter-in-law, Susana Cabral-Adams. She was an active member of the Assumption Parish, Scout Mothers, BVM Society, French Society, Ladies 51 Club, Lady of the Knights of Columbus of Society, and Marian Helper for the Marians of the Immaculate Conception since 1960. She enjoyed cards, bingo, bowling, church functions and spending time with her grandchildren. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701). The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 11, 2008 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Sand Cove Rd. Donations may be made, in memory of Viola, to a charity of the donor's choice.
