NICE, ROY ATHERTON - Passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on December 12, 1920 he was the son of the late George and Queenie (Collins) Nice. Roy lived in Saint John all of his life and worked for 35 years at CPR and was involved in the BRAC Railway Union. He enjoyed all sports and crafts. He is survived by his sister, Doreen (Doug) Hearns, Frankford, Ont.; sister-in-law, Joan Nice; 2 nieces, Marilyn (Edward) Foote, Chatham, Ont. and Arlene (David) Tufts, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; 3 nephews, Malcolm (Linda) Nice, Martinon, NB, Robert Nice (Heather Nickerson), Lower Greenwich, NB, Kevin (Beverly) Dunbar, Ont, estranged wife, Phyllis (Flowers) Nice; several great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald E. Nice and Gerald Nice. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Roy, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, MS Society, or a charity of the donor's choice.
