ROBIN GLENMORE CARTER

CARTER, ROBIN GLENMORE - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 5th, 2008, Mr. Robin Glenmore Carter, husband of Mrs. Helen (Lewis) Carter of Seeley's Cove NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on January 20, 1957, he was a son of the late Delbert and Marion Belle (Sellars) Carter. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife Helen; one son, Aaron Carter of Seeley's Cove; two daughters, Jennifer (E.J.) Pitre of Blacks Harbour, Stefany Carter (Josh) of Bethel NB; three granddaughters, Mikayla, Grace and Sophie; four brothers, Edgar (Karen) Carter of Mascarene NB, Perry (Karrie) Carter, Eldon (Mary) Carter and Sheldon Carter, all of Seeley's Cove; two sisters, Debbie (David) Eagles and Lyda (Louis) Leger both of Moncton, NB; one sister in law, Annette Carter of Seeley's Cove and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Robin was predeceased by one brother, Elliott Carter. A man of the water, Robin was the current president of the Fundy Weir Fisherman's Association and president and member of the Harbour Authority of Seeley's Cove. He was a past president of the Fundy North Fisherman's Association and served on many boards and committee's to better the fishing industry in Southwestern New Brunswick. Robin also was a member of the local Service District of Pennfield and former Deputy Chief and Firefighter with the Pennfield Volunteer Fire Department from its beginning. He was also a member of Christ Church (Anglican) in Pennfield and member of the Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM of St. George NB. Robin was a very active member in his local community and the fishing industry and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church, Pennfield, N.B., from where the service will be held on Friday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or to the St. George Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
