HARVEY, STEPHEN LYLE ( HARVE) - 47; of Seal Cove, Grand Manan passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2008 at the Grand Manan Hospital with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Beverly Harvey and Marjorie (Myles) Harvey of Seal Cove, NB. He is survived by his mother, his wife Anne (Richard) Harvey at home, one daughter Christine Laffoley (Laurie) of Seal Cove, one son Karl at home, two sisters Nancy Harvey of Saint John, Linda Stackhouse (Kevin Sampson) of North Head. Three brothers, Myles (Dayle), Perry (Krista), Grafton (Dianne) Harvey all of Seal Cove, N.B. as well as two Grandchildren. Stephen was a member of the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church, and was employed at the Anchorage Provincial Park as Park Supervisor; he has worked there over thirty years starting his career as a summer student in 1977 until his failing health this year. The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7th, 2 to 4 PM, 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ward McComskey officiating on Friday August 8th, at 2 PM with interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Castalia, NB. The family would appreciate donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Fund.
