MERRITHEW, GLORIA - Gloria "Bobbie" Merrithew, wife of the late Gerald Merrithew, passed away peacefully at her home in Springfield on August 17, 2008. Born in Saint John on June 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William McLean and Myrtle McKinnon. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her six children, Pam Jacobs (Jack), Wendy Martin (Gilles), Wayne Merrithew (Sue), Bill Merrithew, Todd Merrithew (Cheryl) and Lisa Merrithew. She was the loving grandmother to nine grandchildren, Jesse, Danny, Janelle, Ryan, Nathan, Anna, Joshua, Sam, Jeremy; and great-grandchild, Addison. She is also survived by four sisters, Clara Day, Mary Barker, Loretta McLean and Ruth Vossen; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Fennell. Bobbie will be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife to Gerald for nearly 50 years. Known for her hospitality and open home, her New Brunswick and Florida friends will miss her laughter and great meals. She also leaves behind her treasured feline friend, Tory. Bobbie passed away as she lived - with courage, spirit and surrounded by those she loved. Visiting will be held at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Tuesday, August 19 from 6 to 8 pm and on Wednesday August 20 from 2 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Midland Baptist Church on Thursday August 21, 2008 at 11 am followed by interment in Midland Cemetery.
