DOLAN, MONICA ELIZABETH 1916 - 2008 - The death of Monica Elizabeth Dolan, 92, widow of William Dolan, formerly of Broadview Ave. Moncton occurred at Protem, Gorge Road, Moncton, on Monday August 18, 2008. Born in South Nelson, August 5th 1916, she was the daughter of the late James and Caroline (Murdoch) Sullivan. Mrs. Dolan had been employed with The Moncton Hospital in the Admittance Department prior to her retirement. A woman of strong faith and devotion Monica had been a member of St Bernard's Church where she belonged to the CWL, The Legion of Mary and also taught catechism. She is survived by her sons William (Bernadette) of Whitby, ON; Jerry (Helen) of Calgary, AB; Richard (Margaret) of Vancouver, BC; Peter (Sheila) of Quispamsis, NB; Michael (Darlene) of Vancouver, BC and Patrick (Elizabeth) of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Sullivan of Montreal and Bertie Sullivan of Toronto, as well as 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, William, she was predeceased by her sisters, Domenica, Kathryn and Dorothy. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street Moncton with visiting hours on Monday August 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Moncton on Tuesday August 26th at 11 am followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Nelson-Miramichi on Wednesday August 27th at 11 am. Donations in Mrs. Dolan's name made to the St Bernard's Church Elevator Fund would be appreciated by the family.
