BAXTER, BEATRICE MARY (BETTE) - Bette passed away quietly August 21, 2008 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Nerepis, N.B., June 9, 1930, daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice (Hadfield) McGovern. Bette was a kind, gentle person, loved her family, enjoyed gardening and crafts. Survived by daughter Karen (Ron) Leger, Nerepis, N.B., son Jeffrey (Sarah) Baxter, Grand Bay- Westfield, N.B., stepsons Stephen Baxter, Ont., Bruce (Ann) Baxter, Saint John, N.B., one sister Margie (Jim) Sherwood, Halifax, N.S., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Donald Baxter. The family wish to thank the staff of 3BN, Palliative Care, Saint John Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place.
