YOUNG, L. ROBERTA - Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, surrounded by her family, on August 25, 2008, Mrs. L. Roberta (Justason) Young, wife of Eldon I. Young of Pennfield NB. Born at St. George NB on November 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Viola (Barry) Maxwell. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister Roberta is survived by her husband, Eldon I. Young; two sons, William (Peggy) Justason and Barry (Sonja) Justason both of Pennfield NB; four grandchildren, Angela Justason (Paul) of Kemptville ON, Amanda Justason (Bruce Noble) of Sydney NS, Gregory (Megan) Justason of St. George and Lisa Justason of Pennfield; two great grandsons, Evan Borthwick and Samuel Noble; four step daughters, Iris, Judith, Deborah and Cynthia; one step son, Edward (Iona) Young of Pennfield; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Moore of Garnet Settlement NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Roberta was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Justason; one son, Brian; three sisters, Olive Maxwell, Evelyn Cross and Louise Wright. Roberta was employed in the food industry for many years and managed the Strand Restaurant in Blacks Harbour for 20 years. She was a member of the Pennfield Baptist Church and loved her Lord and Saviour. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxilliary, Branch # 40 in St. George. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The service will be held from the St. George Baptist Church on Thursday at 2 pm with the interment following at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery.
