KELEHER, GORDON FRANCIS - The death of Gordon Francis Keleher, of West Saint John, NB occurred on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 9, 1937, he was the son of the late Joseph Roland and Mary Elizabeth (Lord) Keleher. He enjoyed the life of fishing and hunting along with all the wonders the great outdoors could offer him, he also enjoyed spending time with close friends. He worked hard at the City of Saint John Port for 42 years as a shipliner. Upon his hard 3 year battle with cancer he took great pleasure in watching sports and talking on the phone with his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, Doreen Martin (John Lammers) and Glorianne; son, David (Kim), of Halifax, NS; brother, Raymond (Mary Anne); sister, Marlene; 6 grandchildren; former wife, Cecile Keleher, Sister-In-Law, Gene Keleher, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Roland and Murray. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, August 29, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Gordon, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one's choice.
