INGERSOLL, HELEN MARIE (MAXWELL) - The passing of Helen Marie (Maxwell) Ingersoll, wife of the late Nelson "John" Ingersoll, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on September 10, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1925 in Saint John, NB, she was the only daughter of the late Leonard and Vera (Pike) Maxwell. Helen had retired from the Department of Justice, Province of New Brunswick. She was a member of Altar Guild and an active member of the ACW and the Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 4. Helen was a life long member of St. Mary's Anglican Church. She enjoyed bridge and golf. Helen is survived by her son, David J. Ingersoll (Sheila); daughter, Karen D. Ingersoll (Warren McPhee); grandchildren, Matthew Plaster and Angela Steeves; great grandchildren, Brandon and Joseph Plaster and Maya and Emma Steeves; niece, Lauren McLaughlin. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 Ladies Auxiliary Tribute Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary's Anglican Church on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 2 pm with Father Ian Wetmore officiating. Interment will take place at the Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church - Renovation Fund or the Kidney Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
