GARLAND, EVELYN MARIE - The death of Evelyn Garland of Oromocto, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Sunday, September 14th, 2008. Born in Petersville, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Connors) Hogan and wife of the late Roy Garland. Evelyn was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the CWL, she was also a member of the NB Teachers Association and Oromocto Pioneer Square Dancing Club. Evelyn was also a volunteer at Oromocto Public Hospital. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Breen of Upper Kingsclear, NB; her brothers, William Hogan of Haneytown, NB, Daniel Hogan of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB and Francis Hogan (Evelyn) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Roy; her parents; her sisters, Margaret Hogan and Sister Ethel Hogan S.C.I.C. as well as her brothers, John, James and Leo Hogan. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home (357-5100) on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, September, 2008 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ken Weir as celebrant. Interment will take place in the St. Augustine's Catholic Cemetery in Westfield. For those who wish, memorial tributes in Evelyn's honor may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
